Alright... here we go again. *AlicantesRune convinved me to join the group and I honestly couldn't resist! The plot was beautiful...and well... I'm a sucker for steampunk 
So here we go. Another brain baby that has a tl;dr bio that comes with it.
She was rushed though because I only found out about the group, literally 24 hours ago XD
So here we go, my baby for

Personality: TSUNDERE|| She's the type of girl who will stop at nothing to finish a task or get what she wants. She can be very persuasive at times as well. At the beginning, she's very shy but later on, she opens up once you get to know her. She also gets attached quite easily as well. She's not really expressive of her feelings, and she'll never admit them unless extremely necessary. She's also very patient and time efficient. She organizes/plans her day every morning as to not waste time.
History: (will edit and elongate later on) Laila was born underground, her mother dying after her birth. She grew up in the care of her father, listening to his stories about the war and what it was like. She had a certain fascination for what could be found above where they lived and always dreamed of seeing what it was like. The thought of blue skies, warm sunlight, and vast meadows was appealing to her. Finding out that it was because of nuclear radiation as to why they were forced to live underground, Laila found herself having a hatred/dislike for scientists.
Being the only girl in a family of 4 (including her father) Laila forced herself to learn the basics of keeping a household, becoming the "mother" of the family even at a young age. She learned to cook, bake, and sew (the latter becoming a hobby that she would soon later take up as a profession) for the sake of her family.
At the age of 11, her brother (the one born before her) died of Hemophilia, a decease he shared with their father. With their father sick and unable to work as efficiently as he had used to, Laila and her eldest brother, Lukas were forced to start working at an early age to help sustain and provide for their family.
Now, despite her father being more healthy, Laila still works as a freelance tailor, using her father's stories of the world above, and the beauty of their life underground as inspiration for the clothes that she makes/designs.
Miscellaneous:
♫ She has a stuffed, rainbow coloured Alpaca called Cheesecake
♫ She is very overprotective of said Alpaca stuffed toy
♫ She has a fondness for critiquing dresses and clothes made by others in her head and actually has urges to fix them if necessary.
♫ She loves gears and usually uses them when making accessories
♫ She will be caught humming a random tune at random times
♫ Can actually sing quite well. She's just too shy to show it.
♫ Very gullible. She'll believe almost anything.
♫ She's terrible at lying (which is a good thing...I think)
♫ Do not be fooled by her "sweet" appearance... this chick bites. No... as in...she really bites...
♫ Clumsy. She trips even on flat ground.
♫ She's very much anti-social and quite shy
♫ She will more often than not end up embarrassing herself
♫ She doesn't deal with awkward situations too well.

I'm not really happy with the way I drew her. (except for the chbi) then again, I never really learned to appreciate my art :T

Time used: 2 hours and 10 minutes
Credits to *princessmikan who adjusted my colour settings and helped me get that nice shade of red on Laila's hair. For placing everything on the application form (?), colouring Cheesecake and other stuff

I really love Laila a lot, it's interesting how she had to work so hard as a kid and even become a motherly figure for her family. Her design is really nice and I love how much she loves clothes too, the idea that she critiques things in her head is just fantastic.xDD And her alpaca toy is super cute, too! Really love her, she sounds like such a cool character!
I'd love to roleplay with her sometime. C:
