_{Okay, I took a break from drawing commissions and filled this out.
FAIL DRAWING OF SWORD IS FAIL… ;//^//;
That aside, here’s my application form for :iconaldoraparade:
I must say that this character of mine is quite odd, odd because he is extremely different from me.
This actually started as just a fashion sketch for his clothes but I liked how it was coming out, I’m sorry though if it seems unclear. I have posted the actual PNG image of him in my scraps over here:

Personality: Pompous and bratty due to the fact that he is of noble decent, Markus is used to getting what he wants whenever he asks for it no matter how absurd the request may be. Although there are times when he is shy and timid, quiet and unusually polite. Markus of course, still has his manners, but he only shows them to people he likes or to make a good first impression. When on good terms with him (or if he likes you), Markus will most definitely show his more optimistic and cheerful side. He has a superiority complex and will do whatever it takes to be the best in a certain aspect. He is also what one would call a “flirt” or a “playboy”. He tends to show his more romantic side when he encounters a pretty girl [or an uke] Markus is also the type of guy who sees the glass half-empty on most days and half-full on rare occasions. [an optimistic pessimist]

Weapon: The sword of his father [sword in general]

History: Markus is the youngest son of Kristoff Andrew Kingston and Pamela Antoinette Kingston. He has 3 brothers and 2 sisters, who saw him as only a nuisance. He was raised only by a nanny and not his parents. Because of this [this “loneliness”] he felt alienated and unwanted thus fueling his passion to prove himself and be the best in every aspect possible. As he grew up, it was only his mother who had learned to appreciate him, she would answer to his every whim [which explains why he tends to be a brat] no matter how absurd or odd the request was. He learned from his mother, the importance of both book smarts and street smarts, and she encouraged him to read and learn on his own. She taught him the appreciation for the arts and helped him develop his talent for singing.
On his 10th birthday, when he was busying himself with some books in his family’s library when he came across an old and tattered book, dust on its cover, its pages yellowish and torn. Out of curiosity, the young boy had opened the book to find himself engrossed in a tale that had been told to him a million times before, a tale that was actually a truth, the tale of the 6 pocket watches. As soon as he had finished reading, he had tucked the book under his arm and ran to his father and told him of his discovery. His father did not approve of him learning of this for it was his brother who was supposed to be sent on the quest as a successor. Because of this, he had to fight his eldest brother [8 years his senior], William, for the title of successor. With the battle to be 3 days after young Markus’ discovery, he strived to learn and master the way of the sword. Practicing by himself and mastering techniques. His brother was of course, unhappy to learn of the battle, but believing and knowing that Markus was neither skilled nor trained in swordsmanship; he paid no mind to the challenge and did not even bother to train even just a little. On the day of the challenge itself, Markus saw it as a chance to prove himself and fought as hard as he could, passion accompanied every swing of his sword. In the end, he had triumphed, and for the next 8 years of his life, he was taught all the secrets that their family had kept.

Learning of the possible locations of 2 of the pocket watches, Markus was eager and set off on a journey as part of the royal navy [he was only 19 here, and time probably stopped at this point]. Armed with only with the sword that his father had given to him and his love for adventure, he journeyed without even knowing the possible dangers that lie in store.
